Wholesale Sales Manager
Reports to: VP of Coffee Status: Full Time, Salaried
Job Purpose: As a beloved, mission-driven hospitality and coffee roasting company, Saxbys is looking to build a diverse base of wholesale partners including cafes, offices, educational institutions, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores.
The primary purpose of this role is to attract, manage and grow our wholesale channel by cultivating meaningful and positive relationships, exhibiting extensive product knowledge and openly communicating with our service, education, and production teams. The Wholesale Sales Manager will target growth especially with partners that are a synergistic fit with the Saxbys brand.
Summary of duties and responsibilities:
- Must be extremely positive, thoughtful, and thorough, setting a high standard for the team and unwaveringly positive tone for wholesale partners
- Be comfortable and adept at communicating professionally with wholesale partners at all levels. Including barista, manager, executive, and ownership level
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Saxbys coffee products, equipment and pricing structure
- Work collaboratively with the coffee production, education and marketing teams to support sales growth across all coffee products
- Efficient and timely use of email, calendar, and CRM tools to conduct daily business activities
- Be comfortable and skillful negotiating price and other variables while also exhibiting the ability to oversee the entire process from the initial contact to the onboarding of new business
- Proactively anticipate and take charge of difficult situations by finding timely solutions for partners in line with Saxbys’ Mission, Core Values and resources
- Oversee all aspects of wholesale partnerships including order coordination, ensuring timely invoice payment, and distribution of marketing materials
- Forecast and target new business opportunities
- Maintain a flexible schedule allowing for weekend and after-hours work and participation in special events
- Generate new leads for prospective accounts initially along the east coast and ultimately nationally
- Candidly evaluate the viability of partners from a reputational, financial and future growth opportunity perspective
- Coordinate tastings at our roastery with production team and prospective partners
- Regularly check in and conduct quality control visits; the standard is that our partners become zealots for the Saxbys brand and our coffees

- Knowledge of the specific needs of restaurant and hospitality operators
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fantastic time management skills
- Willingness to travel – this position will require travel around Philadelphia and the larger East Coast region to visit current and potential partners
- Strong computer skills
