Job Highlights

The Brooklyn Roasting Company plans to execute an ambitious wholesale growth strategy targeting best quality coffee shops and espresso bars, top-tier restaurants and food courts, artisanal grocers and select corporate accounts. We seek to hire two passionate and responsible professionals with impeccable sales and/or coffee experience to help spearhead this effort. Qualified applicants will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be self-motivated and well-organized.

Qualifications

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
 Clear Drive to succeed/ goal oriented;
 Creative problem solving skills;
 New York State Driver’s License (not required but helpful);
 Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs (not required but helpful);
 Engaging personality definitely required 🙂

Responsibilities

 Daily account maintenance and new account prospecting;
 Bottom-line responsibility for all territory/market segment revenue and receivables;
 Grow territory Market segment sales in line with company expectations/projections;
 Attendance at annual coffee conferences and trade events;
 Mastery of coffee fundamentals, including espresso technique, industry expertise and account level information;
 Staff training;
 Basic coffee/espresso equipment familiarity including operation, maintenance and trouble shooting.

Full description

Brooklyn Roasting Company wholesale account representatives will be competent and articulate ambassadors for our coffees and our brand. In addition, BRC wholesale reps will demonstrate a mastery of The Company’s “Color of Coffee” tasting format, and be able to fluently articulate our “serious but not snobby,” “practical not pretentious” approach to coffee and our craft. They will excel at explaining what makes this approach compelling and grow sales in line with company expectations. Successful wholesale reps will also be supportive team members, helping to build a sense of thoughtful and creative community of coffee peers.
